Employee Review Process

The criteria can include quantitative measures like performance output, quality standards, and customer satisfaction, or qualitative measures like interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication.
• Self-Evaluation and Feedback: The employee is asked to perform a self-evaluation, which requires him/her to assess the work done and insights into their performance. Along with the employee's self-evaluation, the supervisor or manager provides constructive feedback and guidance on how to improve the performance.
• Performance Review Meeting: Once the self-evaluation and supervisor's feedback are collected, a performance review meeting is scheduled. The employee and/or supervisor discuss the employee's overall performance assessment, identify areas of improvement, and create an action plan for continued growth in the organization.
• Performance Improvement Plan: If the employee's performance falls below the organization's standard, a performance improvement plan will be established. This aims to provide additional guidance, coaching, resources or tools that will enable the employee to meet the expectations and help attain the required performance goals.
• Follow-up Meeting: Organizations often conduct a follow-up meeting at a later date to gauge the progress of the employee concerning his/her proposed improvement plan.
